Hurrah - I am just about ready for the festive season.   Turkey and ham bought.  Most of the Christmas presents wrapped :-).  Peace and Goodwill to all.  Looking forward to Christmas lunch with my family.

Congratulations EAP

Congratulations to all of your on completing your course.  You have worked hard.  Good Luck with whatever it is you decide to do next year.  I know some of you are going on to University, however, anyone who is not sure what they want to do, consider doing Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 in Business.  I think you would enjoy Certificate 3, you would get exemptions from PowerPoint and Spreadsheets (you already have a pass in these).  Certificate 4 is hard work and depending on your skills, many students need the underpinning skills they get in C3 to cope with C4.  Again Good Luck for the Future.  I have enjoyed having you as students.

EAP

Congratulations on completing the RSS feeds - you have all come a long way in the last few weeks, and hopefully learned things that you can use in the future.

Good Luck in 2011 and hopefully most of you will decide to do further study either at University or here at TAFE.

EAP Class

I hope your report is going well.  Remember you need to tell me about how you would use blogs, wikis, RSS Feeds (and if possible feeds that are applicable to your scenario), podcasting etc. in your chosen scenario. I also need you to download 10 RSS feeds either to your blogspot OR if you have suscribed to FURL, to your FURL.  You have to the end of lesson on Friday to complete this and next Friday I will give you feedback. :-)

EAP Class

I hope you all had a good weekend.  Only a couple of you have blogged about your report :-(.  I know that you are all busy - it is that time of year when your course is coming to an end and all your teachers are assessing.   It will all be over in 4 weeks and then you can relax, meanwhile, heads down and work :-)

This week we are going to have a look at RSS feeds.  I trust that you will check my blog, as I am checking yours :-).

EAP class

I am rather concerned that none of you are checking my blog and that you have not advised me of the scenario that you are going to use for your report.

EAP Class

It is time that you all started to think of what scenario you are going to base your report on.  This first step will clarify and simplify what you are going to put into your report.  Remember, it is best to base it on your own life experience, the ideas will come to you. Good luck.  See you on Friday.  I hope that I have some posts to look at by then.  On Friday, we will be looking at RSS feeds.
Lovely weekend on Lake Macquarie, weather great.  My granddaughter Olivia, fast asleep.

EAP Class

Hi - I hope you all had a great weekend and gave some thought to the scenario that you are going to create your report on.  Good luck.  Please outline for me ASAP the scenario you are basing your report on.  This Friday we will be having a look at Wikis. :-)

My first blog

Hi - this is my first effort of blogging.  I am hoping that it will prove to be easy, although I am not sure what I am going to talk about.  The weather is lovely today and I am hoping that we have a nice weekend on Lake Macquarie.
